  • Cohiba Club

A pack of 10 Cohiba Club arrived in the post today from C-Gars Ltd, and so I thought I'd try one with my morning coffee (Cuban Cobita also in the same delivery).

    First impressions:
A neat box, like a proper cigar box (only in card) with a hinge at the top end, and a proper national warranty seal that needs to be cut. Nice Cuban aroma when opening the box. The cigar is 3-3/4" long, and a little under 26 ring gauge. (Size isn't actually stated on the C-Gars web site, and they are larger than I thought they would be). Although they are machine made, they have the appearance of being hand rolled, and with a slightly rustic look to them.

Now, I usually potter on the computer and read the forum messages when I have my coffee, but this time it was different. I just didn't want to have to concentrate on reading what was on the screen. I just wanted to sit back, relax and enjoy what was an exceedingly good gigar!

All the fine taste and aroma of a great Cuban cigar. It took me totally by surprise! It was nothing like any other small cigars I have ever tried. This cigar oozes Cuban quality! Of course, (as you do with any new cigar) I timed it. 17 minutes. And by the end there was the experience of disappointment that you get on finishing a good cigar, alongside the feeling of having relaxed for a while, letting the world drift by.

If you want a cheap quick rough mini smoke then this isn't the cigar for you. If you want the experience of a proper Cuban Cohiba with everything that goes along with the concept of enjoying a cigar, then it most certainly is. I will definitely be keeping a stock of these.

    ?12.50 for 10 From C-Gars Ltd.

    Thanks for the review Rod.

Never really been one for the mini's but this certainly sounds like a good choice for those that are fans.

I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.

I have never been a fan of the minis either! I know what you mean.
But these are.... just so totally different.

        Cheers

I used to have a pack of these Cohiba Minis or Montecristo minis (until Tesco stopped selling them) sat in my car for when I wanted a quick fix.

Had to stop as I was smoking them all the time just because they were there.
