  • H. Upmann Magnum 50 .... what the hell do you mean rubber lego!!<!,!.!>!?

I think that this is my first one of these (the cigar it's my third dino set).

Beautiful construction with the perfect colour and a very neat little cap, some small light veins and just a touch of bloom, can't wait.

The cut was perfect, predraw was firm but not at all throttled, can't wait, the predraw was slightly spicey with a woody yard taste but quite subtle.

She lit up like an angel, the first few minutes revealed a fairly mellow smoke, the same spicey woodiness continued and the burn stayed true, the cigar had a certain caramely smokiness to it, smooth but not weak.

As the smoke continue the profile didn't change, if anything (and this is odd) the lavours got stronger but at the same time kept it's mellow qualities, I'm really liking this.....alot, there was a large amount of thick white smoke

"I don't care if you have missiles I'sa goin' to eat ya!!"

And that was it before I knew it it it was over, the same flavours were there throughout, burn still straight, ash held brilliantly throuout, didn't need any retouching or re-lghting, though at the last third I could have sworn that I noticed something odd that I could only describe and mild Marmite.....stange but there was a very very mild saltiness which with the caramel just made me want to light another right away.

Yep, I loved this chap, I must buy a box they are simply wonderful.

    Enjoy BOTLs

    Hi there Yeti,

+1 from me too! Definitely one of my favourite sticks of the moment. I agree with the statement about the smoothness remaining constant throughout the cigar. Fabulous construction too. For me, Upmann can do little wrong at the moment. I 'm enjoying the Magnum 50s, the Nr 2s and the Sir Winstons. All great cigars in my opinion.

I have found the last couple of Mag50's as a bit bland and one-dimensional. The OR EL are great but rare as hell. For me the Sir Winston wins every time.

Yeah, the flavours didn't really change throughout the smoke (apart from the damn Marmite....where did that come from lol) and it certainly wasn't strong, but as a nice relatively tasty mellow smoke I couldn't fault it. Might make it my new day to day smoke.

I had a small box of these and they were packed loosely and didn't do much for me - however, I just had one from Cgars sampler and it was very very good, and probably a year or two older.

Ive never liked these over the 46-48s though i wonder if lego improves the flavour.
