I had previously tried the Open Eagle which was a good smoke. This one was bought from Cuba for around the equivalent of ?5. It held about an inch of ash and had a strong taste and aroma of pencil shaving tobacco, really earthy as well started to get interesting half way through when some pepper and cinnamon appeared. Unfortunately I had real trouble keeping this one lit. Halfway I cut the end and relit it, it went out a few minutes later and I never got a clean burn on it again. A real shame, in the UK this is around ?17-?25 and the construction of my cigar wasn't up to scratch, who knows? Maybe I just had a bad one, but if they are all like this it is not good enough for the price.

I have tried all of the Open series, at various times - they are nice introductory smokes, with subtle flavours/aromas. I have never (touch wood) had any with burn issues. Although, I might add at this point they were all tubed versions.....Maybe you just had a bad one...?
