Good good review. I actually think i might invest in a box, or maybe try and get hold of some singles before I buy a whole box :P. I shouldn't really though not after I just bought a box of Cohiba robustos .

Simon, again, thank you for your review of the KDT which made me decide to try them. The idea of comparing a couple (or why not more) smokes comes in part from my "previous life" as a trainee sommelier/wine taster (I guess it's time to write that profile I've been putting off ): when you taste wines you never have only one glass to try because comparing different bottles of a similar grape variety/area/vintage makes it easier to catch subtle differences. Clearly you cannot taste cigars in the same way you taste wine (... although ), but for me it makes fixing on paper the aromas and sensations I get a lot easier.

Having said that, sometimes I just want to smoke that one stick that has been sitting in the humidor invitingly for a few weeks/months and then... bugger the bloody comparisons

Never tried a fonseca, but might do after the review...good style too, gives me inspiration to do similar
