So i love Drew Estate, i especially love the Acid and Isla del sol range,
There are a few acids I havent yet tried, and the Toast is one of them well this afternoon after leading and preaching in Church with a nice pint of McEwans Champion in a Guinness glass seemed like a good way to spend the afternoon chilling.
a robusto this has the typical herbal botanical smell of the acid range though the more hay tobacco smell comes through than say the blondie or Kuba Kuba. So went with my trusty V cut and the dry draw was sweet from the cap, herby hay and a touch of cinnamon.
it lit perfectly and boom herb hayness sweet cap goodness and then straight with a retro and sweet spicy cinnamon and bread toast like goodness, its cinnamon toast sweet savoury with a few earthy coffee notes thrown in thats pretty consistent throughout.
its an Acid and it doesnt disappoint, what I will say this probably has the most tobacco flavour present in the Acids ive tried, it paired perfectly with the McEwans Champion with its toffee notes.
its was a perfect 45 to 50 minutes in the garden, if you like Drew Estate and the acid range you'll love this if you dont then this will be meh to not to your liking. For me I adored this, and for my first cigar in a while reaffirmed my love of Drew Estate and the Acid line, flavour it sweet its herby with hits of earthy savory in small amounts and a nice hay coffee tobacco profile beneath those oils and botanicals.
if you can get hold of them and Drew Estate is your thing get it, a 4.5 out of 5 for me the only thing that beats it is the Isla del sol.
