Hey guys, I'm going on holiday later this year and was wondering how you take your cigars abroad, I'm going for 10 days so would like to take 5 cigars or so. Don't really want to buy a travel humi to be honest so any advice would be great. I was thinking something like a small tupperdore in the suitcase?

Yup, best way I've found, have a travel humi but it only holds 4 really, so tupperware is the way to go, pad it out with foam or scrunched up kitchen paper or whatever and sorted
I know some worry a lot but I reckon a cigar can handle a week without the proper humi environment, I'd probably have them in carry on to avoid the extreme temperature changes I assume a plane hold could have but other than that I don't worry too much...

IMO it depends on how big your hand luggage is as i find the easiest way is to just stick your smallest humi in there.
Scratching that if you really think you will smoke only 5 in 10 days then i find one of those clear (you want it clear for when you get searched by security and you will be unless you wear a robe and have a beard) screw top drinks flasks is ideal just stick a humi pouch or one of the xikar crystal test tube things and your golden.

Before I got a travel humi, I used:
? for small cigars: an empty cabinet of Partagas 898
? for long panatelas, DCs and churchills: a "spaghetti container" like this: http://www.tupperware.fr/produits/bo...ti-avec-doseur - lined with cedar leaves inside?

By far the easiest method...I've dozens of old tubos lying around for that reason ranging from Upmann Monarcas and Siglo VI to Monte PE & Partagas P2. H&F do an extendable tubo too ...great for RA Gigantes and LusitaniasOriginally posted by CaptainQuintero View PostI used to try all sorts, then just decided on taking cigars that come in tubes, much easier.
