Buying in the North East.

Evening everyone.
I am hoping that you can help me out with a bit of advice if possible.
I have done plenty of browsing on the websites of the online retailers, but am now looking for
retailers I can actually visit. I live in Middlesbrough, and the only shops I have managed to
find so far, are in York and Newcastle. Does anyone know of a shop or shops nearer to my location
where I can visit? Paying cash over the counter means the boss does not know how much I am
about to blow.

The Newcastle shop is certainly worth a visit if you fancy a little trip out.

I will definitely pay a visit whenever possible.
I am in Newcastle next Monday evening for the Slipknot gig at the Metro Radio Arena but due to work
I am not sure if a visit would be possible before the gig starts. It is still a possibility though.

I just ask, when it states they have a nineteen seater lounge where cigars can be sampled, do you
just smoke samples of the cigars or smoke a full stick?

They chop a stick up and bring slivers of it round on a platter with cocktail sticks in them.

Hi JT, the word 'sampling' is, in this instance a legal term.
You are allowed to 'sample' (enjoy/smoke) a cigar in a specialist cigar store as a way of determining which cigar you will select if/when you decide to buy a box. You would not buy a case of wine without having a taste so how can you be expected to invest in a box of cigars without trying.

So, you buy a single stick from the store and you sample it right to the end and then you make your decision on whether to buy that cigar or to try another.

for this reason you are only allowed to 'sample' cigars from the store and are not allowed to bring your own cigars.

I'd be interested for a heads up on any you might find up this way too. I've been into the Newcastle shop a good few times but I'm not aware of any others nearby.
