The current Cohiba LE '14 is cheaper in Spain (250euros, minus 19%VAT if you're just visiting ) than in Cuba (280CUC)

Actually, come to think of it, most of Europe is cheap as hell if you take the automatic 20% off if you're visiting!

Something for me to think about, I'm off to Majorca in September, then the Maldives in the new year with a stop in Dubai so hopefully I can find some decent stuff at a decent price. I have been going to Santa Ponsa in Majorca for almost 30 years so I know where to find the Tabacs.

I think he means the Ramadan sales in Dubai, shep. All stores, no matter what they sell have mad sales. Electronics, cars, furniture etc etc.

Yep, meant Dubai except I was making reference to the Christmas sales they have which coincide with their anniversary celebration sales . I am going to keep an eye out though during my return through Dubai during Ramadan

Just out of interest, has anyone been to a European country, bought cigars and then claimed the VAT/sales tax back at the airport?

Can this be done at any EC country?

You cant claim the vat back if your a resident of EU member countries
