    Hi all,
I'm currently on a cruise with my family and I just wondered if anyone has any experience of the LCDH in Rome? Are prices any good there?
We sailed from Southampton round Biscay over to Spain and now are currently docked in Genoa. Rome is tomorrow's port of call but the last stop before going back to Southampton is Gibraltar and I've read a thread on here where a few people mentioned that is a great place to buy cigars. So my question really is whether to buy the Italian RE's at Rome or wait for Gibraltar? I've only got 40? left as I've already spent 60? in Barcelona and Alicante, the prices are so good there!! Can't wait for Gibraltar now! Apparently Lewis Stagnetto is the place?
    Thanks,
    Matt

I've not been to the LCDH, but if you see any of these, grab one Matt

And yes, Stagnettos will be worth saving a few pennies for, or hit up the bank of mum and dad!

If you can get some of those Matt you can always get a box, I'm sure you wouldn't be missing any takers on here

In all seriousness, the PL Short Robusto Italy RE was a great smoke as well, so I would definitely recommend picking up some REs as singles while there. Gibraltar has a great recommendations, especially for UK REs, I'm trying to convince my wife we should holiday in Costa Del Sol for that very reason!

Agree with Shep regarding the Por Laranaga: it an absolute beaut and was reasonable at around E8 IIRC.

The Italian Ramon Allones that was released earlier this year is well worth chasing down. I think they're about 12E per cigar. The LCDH in Rome should have them

Okay thanks CJ, I'll look out for La Especion; I'm guessing they're good cigars then?
Never heard of the brand myself though.
I'm looking forward to seeing if Rome has any PL Short Robusto actually as PL are one of my fave brands and I've yet to try the Short Robusto
I noticed that a box of 10 Party D4 are like ?60 in Gib, that is just stupid money!! Haha Though I don't like Party much, managed to get a Trinidad Fundadores from Gimemo in Barcelona for about ?11 which I was very pleased about
I'm looking forward to Rome and Gibraltar immensely now

Hope you enjoy your trip to Rome; unfortunately Fincato's in Rome was shut on a Monday until 3:30pm so I didn't get chance to go in but the shop was easy enough to find
Hope you get some of those La Escepcion sticks!
