Afternoon chaps!

Long time no post, trust everyone well! Seems the personnel has changed quite a bit!

Anyway, current Mrs T and I have just booked a week in Cape Verde next month-anyone been?

Any comments, things worth doing etc?

Anywhere to pick up a few sticks or do I need to take some??

Take your sticks, sod all out there, just soak up the sun, booze and food mate, can do some turtle watching but definitely just a place to kick back.

Yep, not too much to do there. Got a taxi along to Sal Rei, had a walk down to the harbour. There are quite a few shops selling touristy gifts, wooden carvings etc and there's one street in the middle of town which has about 10 shops in a row. We also had a trip out to see a quite spectacular ship wreck - Cabo de Santa Maria. It's off the beaten track, a fair trip off road by taxi.
Did a quad safari around the island which was good fun including a visit to a fantastic, unspoilt beach and a cove where the turtles congregate.
One night we took a trip along to a sea front shack kind of place which was good fun. Not cheap though, we were pretty sure the bar staff were making up bar prices depending on how p*ssed you seemed.
I looked at doing some deep sea / game fishing but the prices were really high for what you were getting.

Ive been but the purpose was to do nothing, and thats what we did. Its a lovely place but spoilt by thoughts of 'doing stuff', for me at least.
