  • Paris- Charles de Gaulle duty free

A friend of mine is off to Paris later this month. Not sure if he'll be able to go to local stores mentioned elsewhere on here. Just wondering if the airport has a decent selection?

The duty free store in Terminal 2E has the biggest selection. I flew out from another terminal last year (I believe it was 2D) and the duty free was a bit smaller but they had good stock there and a really helpful employee who opened at least 10 boxes of Club Allones for me because most boxes had some mold issues.

If you're lucky, the new QdO might be released.....

I'm just back from my trip to the US. I flew out of Terminal 2E gate M and the duty free there is rather small and not very well stocked. Had a chat with the guy who worked there and asked about the big duty free, he told me that it's located in gate L.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but just wondering if anyone knows how duty free prices at the airport compare with prices in town. Will be in Paris for the day in 3 weeks time and plan to do some shopping

Well, prices are around 10% to 20% cheaper then in town. But to profit from duty free prices one has to be on a flight leaving Europe or at least the European Union, don't know if that's the case with the UK with your Brexit thing going on.

Ok. At Gatwick, they have 2 prices in the duty free - one for outside the EU and one ( more expensive ) if travelling in the EU. Would this be the same? Hoping to make it to Le Lotus and Publicis or Boutique 22 in the short time I'm in town but always good to have a plan b.

In that case prices would be the same. But it all depends on which terminal you fly out of, when I flew to Rome the terminal hadn't any cigars for sale. I think that you'd be better off to buy your cigars in town.
