So I'm a bit surprised I've not come across any cigar smokers on holiday. Paxos is a small place a lot of yacht culture by the look of things. Middle class, middle age and up crowd a majority. Only seen a couple of guys smoking some locally available smokes. Small cigars, news agent type. Not hand rolled I'm sure.

I would have thought this would be a prime destination to find some Cuban being smoked on a boat or in the harbours. But nope. Nada.

I'm the only one sat working through my stash!

    Any other experiences?

I didn't see anyone smoking anything decent in two weeks in the DR! Last year in Majorca I was at a seaside bar and caught the distinctive whiff of someone smoking a Cuaba though

I didn't see anyone smoking cigars, was surprised how many cigarette smokers there were though, especially in restaurants.

Well that was a surprise! Last evening. Escaped to the hotel bar downstairs as the Mrs was looking for trouble while packing [emoji23]

What did I see? A Montechristo yellow humidor! So I enquired. There were 10 cigars in there. I bought 3. 18?

I'm sure they will be a disaster. 🤣 They are Greek cigars apparently.

I did explain they could keep some nice cigars for a long time so they won't go off if kept properly. But it is budget accommodation so I doubt it will come to anything...

They do look a bit rough, not that they won't taste good though

I don't think I've ever come across anyone else smoking cigars when I'm away. I occasionally come across a hotel bar a humidor of some sort, but I generally find I've bought a bigger and better selection with me than they stock.

Yup. This is a package hotel place. So bit budget. Totally did not expect a humidor. And yes the selection was .. well .. queer. I expect they use tap water to humidify too and all that jazz. [emoji12]

I hardly seen anyone smoking a cigar on holiday...when I was younger would see many guys in the club's with one...but on recent holidays I've only seen one guy smoking one and it was his 40th wedding anniversary...so he had bhk 56 to celebrate. I very rarely come accross cigar smokers anywhere I smoke....one of the main reasons I join this forum

Indeed, the internet at it's finest, bringing small interest groups together so you know you're not totally alone in your interest/hobby.
I saw a few on our cruise but then we did call into Havana 3 times but none will to discuss cigars, guess they just picked them up as part of the experience. It amazes me where all these cigars go that the UK shop & online outlets sell as I rarely see someone smoking a Havana outside of cigar bars in the UK either.
