Landed in Barca today.

Slim-pickings in Estanc Mayne, Cava de Cigars with no boxes at all and only singles.

Headed to Gimeno where they had much more stock in boxes and the guy was really helpful advising what he did and didn’t have downstairs.

Got some singles for the long weekend but will be grabbing four or five boxes on Saturday.

Is there a difference in duty free prices on the way out compared to duty free on the way back?
I always assumed cigars would be cheaper abroad.

Yea prices vary depending on country, normally they’re cheaper abroad in their duty frees but it’s not a given

Bit weird reading this thread from over a year ago with all that’s what happened with the world.

Me and the other-half are fully vaccinated now and just managed to get (hand luggage) flights to Barcelona for £21 !!!

To confirm, our allowance is x100 sticks between us which will be x4 boxes ? But what happens if I happen to have a few “loose” cigars?

Put them in your other half's handbag!

If you are 1 stick over they can charge your duty on all 101, not just the one you are over. Check out the Gov UK page for confirmation.

This is 99% going to be cancelled

Now trying to persuade the other half to go to Germany or AmDam. Seams she’s more interested with Croatia / Greece

Personally I think we’ll end up in the UK so bang goes any plans of stocking up on cheap sticks.

You only need the clothes you are wearing so on the way back just leave the rest so you have more room for cigars.

Thanks for confirming. Need to take some actual clothing with me so me so best limit to 5 or 6 boxes
