For any Northern Ireland smokers, was in Miss Moran today in Belfast and seen they had some Alex Bradley Prensado smokes which Cigar Aficionado voted cigar of the year in 2011. Think ill try one soon.

hey guys, haven't been on here in a while!! good to see some activity from our neck of the woods!! good to see you back on here gary...... it's been a while!! how's the family?
a belfast herf would be great, in fact a herf anywhere in northern ireland would be great!! the only problem is where? northern ireland isn't too tolerant of most things (it's still like the f**king dark ages here), a group of cigar smokers is bound to piss off even the cigarette smokers, lol!! still, i'm up for it......
haven't been in miss moran's in ages gary!! last i was in was around july...... bought an HdM epicure no.1 that was plugged!! they seemed bemused when i brought it back, doubly bemused when i said i didn't want a refund, just a different cigar with the same value!! no problems, still, i think it was the first time they ever done this, lol!! i pointed out it's H&F's EMS policy (of course i could be wrong), jj fox has no problem doing this, same as any other premium cigar shop in the UK & ireland!!

take care all,

Hey Alex, I'm good chum, what about you, I've only got back on here recently myself after a period off. Fair play in taking the cigar back to Miss Moran, I don't think I would have, I'm sure your women's bake was more screwed up than usual when you asked for another cigar

Lmao. Customer service can be hit and miss, no wonder tho. I was in a while ago and there must have been at least 10 smackheads/bums coming in asking for ?2.35 worth of tobacco. Must get fed up serving plebs.

lol, no...... which was a surprise!! she seemed generally bewildered, so did niall!! there was about 2cm smoked, i told niall it was plugged, he replied 'how do you know?'!! i was like, c'mon man...... it's brick hard!! he looked at it, looked at his missus, looked at me..... then grumbled something like 'if one's like that, they're all like that' and scooped the rest of them out of the humidor!! i told him the same thing happened in dublin, i brought the cigar back to jj fox and they replaced it, no arguments!! H&F EMS quality policy or some such!! he shrugged his shoulders and said fair enough, offered me a refund, i asked for another cigar of the same value, i thought he was gonna hug me!! lol!! his final quip though was, 'you should know what to expect when you buy cuban cigars'!! lol!!
moral of the story?
1. the customer is always right
2. if you pay premium, don't expect less than the best
3. if you don't ask, you won't get
Was in town last night and Dirty Onion have a very large outdoor area, as does the National Grand Cafe were we had a few cigars. Finally, some more options!

Just as a side note I don't suppose anyone on this was at holywood/seapark yesterday evening walking along smoking?? Looked like a monte but didn't have my glasses on.
A quick post to let you know theirs another Belfast boy about.
I was in miss morans twice recently, one time with the woman, she wasn't very pleasant, the fella though was a lot more welcoming. I'm new to this myself and it is quite intimidating going in their, but I bought a couple of cigars and went to the Northern Whig and sat outside with a wee pint with my uncle. Enjoyable smoke and would certainly be doing it again
That's an understatement, her customer service skills are appalling, the most unhelpful retail person you will ever meet, EVER!
Miss Moran is a little expensive, cheaper online, also the shop at the end of Queens Arcade has a walk in humidor, but haven't been in it yet so don't know what their selection is like.
