  • Malpensa airport - No Cubans

Was in MXP earlier this week and no Cubans but had a small wall humidor with some Davidoff in.

Not sure if they stock many Cubans during “normal” times but after my failed trip to the Netherlands I was hoping for some pickups

I wouldn’t expect much from Italian airports full stop, have never seen much at all in normal times never mind now. Last two Italian airports I flew from didn’t even sell tobacco or cigarettes duty free never mind cigars.

Dubai, HK, Turkey and of course Cuba are about the only airports I’ve ever seen alright selections in. You get lucky occasionally but I only ever expect that they’ll have Mille fleurs minis and other very limited smokes at most

Thanks for the advice, ironically MXP had a better cigarette collection than Schipol.

On a separate note, what’s DXB stock like currently please as I’m there next month on a stopover to Bangkok and was hoping to stock up on the way back.

It’s been a while since I’ve been through, and the volume of traffic is likely to mean I wouldn’t be expecting too much right now BUT email and ask customer.service@ddf.ae

They won’t send you a stock list or be able to tell you general stock but if you ask specifics they’ll answer.

No change at MXP just the Davidoff’s or Toscana’s / similar plenty of those but nothing outside of that.

I didn’t get chance to go the proper LCdH but the cigar shop in Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle II had lots of Hidalgo’s but no other Cubans at all and looked very sad about the prospects of seeing any Cuban stock that wouldn’t immediately be sold this year.
