  • Istanbul airport - slim pickings

Friend was here last night and the cupboards were bare with the exception of a few Partagas - Super Partagas and some New World’s.

Was at Istanbul airport two days back

Picked up 3 x 12 boxes of Trini Esmeralda and 1 x 24 box or Trini Coloniales, basically took everything they had.

The guy said they have more coming soon if anyone passing through there. It’s the big departures duty free Humi. They have a couple of cigar wih in duty free so check them all.

Dude to be honest i was so excited, I didn’t even look at the prices closely but if I remember it was just over €600 for the Esmeralda boxes and about €1000 for the Coloniales. €3k for the lot.

            Wow! Everything's so expensive now.
            Great cigars though. Excellent

Wow! That's a heavy hit, still in a few yrs, it'll seem like a good investment.

                  Very much so!

It’s a great investment in future dated pleasure and peaceful smoking time, shared with good people 💪🏼

600euros for a 12 box of Esmeralda seems like a nice price my usual place had 1 box come back in stock and sold out literally within minutes at £799.99. I bought two singles on my birthday a month ago from there at £70 each.

New to the forum, so go easy.

Wanted to contribute as have been using the travel/ airport sections for reference a few times as travel with work.

Partner just got back from Istanbul airport- quite a big walk in humidor - full of Davidoff not much else.

Fairly good prices - picked up some Churchill late hour pack of 4 for £50 ish quid.

Hi F1Matt, good to hear your update, think many Duty Free's are offering similar slim pickings. Please go to the Newbie Lounge & introduce yourself e.g. when did you start smoking cigars? What your current fav's are?
