    Anyone been to Havana recently?
I was last there in January 2020, and hoped on my next trip to pick up some of the fantastic custom / farm / hotel rolls I did back then but given hurricane Ian and that a few of the rollers have moved on I'm not quite sure where I should be looking.
Anyone been recently and have any recommendations?

    Cheers
    Rob

Krist picked up some excellent farm rolls from Pinar del Rio a few years ago but I think that maybe where the hurricane hit!

Yep, wiped out the Robaina farm judging by the photos circulating last week. Very sad indeed.
I was hoping to take a trip out to Pinar Del Rio and one or two of the farms but I think that'll be off the cards for this trip.

Hurricane Ian won't have wiped out C.C.'s. The farms have been badly damaged & that will affect supplies in a yr or so but what was rolled already, should be available not in Pinar Del Rio perhaps but in Havana. Try Hotel Conde de Villanueva, Calle Mercaderes 122. They have a cigar shop & their roller has a large range of fat girth cigars, I bought half a dozen of each & they were fine but larger than I prefer.
NB there were no tobacco plants in the ground, as it was before planting. What will have been lost are all the leaf that was in the curing barns so devastating for the farmers, let alone the damage to their buildings & equipment.

            Cheers guys.
Hoping to pick up some more Monsdales and I'll definitely have a call in to Hotel Conde de Villanueva.
