So annoyingly had a pile of singles taken when my bag was taken today in Milan (all RE’s or Lusitania’s!) got bag back but cigars and sunglasses gone plus weirdly my key rings as worthless as they are. Importantly returned passports and keys though!

I’ve noticed my travel insurance has max limits on valuables but seems to list what valuables are and maxes for that but the total claimable is well within an amount to cover. Anyone got experience of claiming for them and if they suddenly decide they are valuables even if not a listed category?!

Hope that wasn't a checked in bag? I only ever put in hand carried but of course, can lose a bag on the street. I can't imagine any insurance company paying out for cigars but hey, no harm in trying. Best if you had a receipt from local shop if you had just bought them but I assume, you had bought these from home?

Not checked no the boxes are still safe with me as they're in checked! I'm not sure how they would justify not paying though? I actually just bought these this week (Dippy Swiss RE's, Leal's, RA Noella's, Punch La Isla and Lusi's, more a kick in the teeth as they can't really be replaced) and I do still have a receipt so fingers crossed!

At the very least I think you'll need a police report. Getting your money back will be great but what a shame to lose cigars you'll struggle to replace. Good luck!

Seems a bit odd to me, bag nicked, got it back, didn't take passport just smokes and sunnies
