You & many others PJ! I first went in 2011, been a further 3 times. Enjoyed every stay & yes, they really need tourists to boost the economy so if you can, go for it! Just don't expect to find any special cigars there, I always take my own vintage smokes & buy whatever I can find, to bring home.

Indeed, buy straight from the farm, smoked some good ones myself there. Certainly better value.

There are indeed Cuban REs. Supposedly sold only in Cuba but I've seen them in other regions. I saw the San Cristobal & Dip Leal in Geneva just last week....

Good luck finding any! I could have bought a jar of the LGC in 2011 but didn't. Big mistake. But rarely seen these in our other visits.
