    Gents,

Off to Poland for a long weekend in April, I’ve heard the tobacco tax is one of the lowest in Europe, anyone been recently?

Been 5 years now already.... The La Casa Del Habano Kracow was great. Sat in their lounge too for a cigar.

Prices and stock were good back then... No idea if Szymon is still running things there!

Used to be pretty good, at least they sold me 4 cabs of 50 of the 5th. Av regional back in 18/19 without blinking.

Had a quick look at some average prices, 10th anniversary perdomo for around 46.00 zl or £10 a stick for example, so it looks like more than half price for most things.

Very interesting. Krakow has been on my to-do list for years

Someone recently posted a haul on FB, looks like some Party Serie D No 6's for 290 UK from Habano store, and plenty of Upmann Mag 54 tubo's from the airport (don't know prices)

Szymon, great guy, is now working directly with the Polish distributor, Premium Cigars. I spent a lot of time with him in Cuba two weeks ago.

Here he is playing pool at 5 am in a 24 hour bar after the Habanos gala dinner two weeks ago. With friend of mine /model Lily, my lawyer Cynthia (at the cue ball), hotel night manager Jefferson, and Piotr, another pole getting big very quickly in the world of Cuban cigars. Some of you have almost certainly had dealings with him. Good fun. More fun than the dinner. Terrible slope on the table.

That belly is known around these parts 🤭 You guys have more energy than I. Hope you managed to enjoy some time there. And hope they spend some money with the people!

                      Cheers Ryan!

I worked 20 hour days for 2.5 weeks, then took 24 hours off in Guanabo last Friday, Saturday. So I enjoyed some time. Jefferson and Lily are great, easy company. I got Jefferson an interview in a new boutique hotel owned by friends of mine beside Casa Italia in Miramar. Last year I helped Lily buy her apartment, with my wife's approval. Piotr and Szymon also good guys, they "get it". My lawyer likes her lobster. My Irish lawyer wouldn't recognise a lobster, that's the way it should be. As for spending money with the locals. This is some of what I am doing.

To get back on track (sorry for the detour). Just got a message from Krakow. La Casa del Habano is the place to go. They received a delivery yesterday. Including (notably) Ramon Allones Gigantes and Bolivar Libertador.
Only 48 SKUs in that delivery but they also got in Monte 2, Hoyo Epicure Especial, Epicure No. 2, Juan Lopez 1 and 2, Hoyo Elegantes and Epicure deluxe.
Hungary is cheaper than Poland for cigars but a little more involved for travel. I've never been to either place, must fix that this year.

Premium cigars? 5th Avenue in Germany is the Habanos distributor also for Poland.

Premium Cigars is the Polish sub-distributor for 5th Avenue. Just as Ampersand Ltd. is the Irish sub-distributor for Hunters & Frankau.
I promise it does exist! I know the directors.
