  • Montecristo No4

I bought these last week and finally got round to opening the box. I paid ?73 for them in the end. I've not smoked many Monte's and never had these before. Will give them a try over the next couple of days. This is stamped on the back TO6 or TOG and A6009 or AG009 which one is the date?

Some of them look pretty 'rustic' Dherm..? Really veiny too, or is it just me?

Did not look at the pics earlier but I do agree also the divider between the layers is missing?

They have been stored in a walk in Humidor since they were bought from a bonafide retailer here in Birmingham in 2011. Is there anything I need to be worried about Martin?

Doubt they were bought at a UK retailer, no EMS stickers and Spanish? Health warning. It's difficult to tell fake from legit from photos.

As per Sligubs post, hard to tell in pics but definitely not EMS

I'd doubt the bona fides of a UK retailer if he's selling nonUK stock mate. There's a good chance the sticks are fine but he shouldn't be selling anything that isn't EMS and H&F. Who's the retailer?

All the same length, all the same RG, all Triple capped, all wrappers basically the same colour, smell and finally taste. But I always think that the real way of telling is to trust the source, If you trust the source no problems, If you don't then don't buy.
