  • What's happened to all the Dukes?

When I joined here in 2009 the Forum talk was full on Dukes. Don't get a mention these days.

I've had three sitting in my humi that I bought from Lee Nub. Over the weekend I finally got round to smoking one. I thought it was exceptional .... what's happened? Has everyone smoked theirs up and simply forgotten about them, or smoked too many in 09 and tired of them?

My boxes are sleeping. They were so good I consider them special and will want to see 3-5 before revisiting. Smoked one a year ago (I think) and was great. Perhaps time to spark up another

Very happy to hear your report. There are a few still about but I don't know if they were a later production (their certainly was some inconsistency).

Smoked one last week that I picked up from the Big Smoke, my first Duke and it blew me away she was so good.

ERO SEP 09 ..... close Monk, or to far away from the original release?

One box on the go and one laid down to age. Trying to keep my hands off them, but it's hard work....

It may go back to another thread, short churchill, wide churchill, even shorter churchill and on & on we've been swamped with 'New' R&J's over the last few years, I only have a single so can't say how good they are, but I do miss the older Clemenceaus & the nice fat Romeos.

Sounds like an excuse to dig out my boxes and have a look

I've only 3 left from a box of MOA Jul09.

I asked in every shop in Andorra and they're completely sold out. Still had loads of the other LEs from that year plus all of 2007's and 2008's LEs...shows how popular they are. I think everyone pounced on them...

Just doing a little check of my boxes:

                      2*Dukes
RAS JUN 09 and MOA JUN 09. What have other got. I'm beginning to think the OR may have been earlier. What have other people had/got?

the last one i had was with monkey but i think it was more like 18 months ago and was really great we than had a wide churchill straight after which was garbage just goes to show how diffrent the EL blends are to regular production

Where was the drift point Monk (approximately), when production went from best to uncertain.
