Just to play devils advocate: all political views have the right to be heard. From extreme right all the way to the monster mad raving loony party. Its up to us, the electorate to decide that they don't have any right to be in control. I think the odd extreme person in parliament is a good thing to inspire debate and perhaps remind us of how crazy thing can get if we don't think carefully about who we vote for.

For the record by extreme I'm not necessarily saying extreme right, just far out views that could as easily be someone who says demolish everything inside the m25 and turn it into a nature reserve.

And by the right to be heard I'm saying heard, not acted upon by a group of crazies.

Now back to the cigars before some crazy f****r bans them!

The issue here is not free speech or validity of hearing all sides of a debate, just the appropriate medium to have such a challenging discussion. This is not that medium.

Yeah, I appreciate that. It was about an earlier post, not the one about the discussions on here. The discussion of a particular political view, exp one with the connotations that some views hold shouldn't be on here due to it being text only.

+1. I decided to drop the subject, despite my disagreement with the claim that 'National Socialism is a legitimate political standpoint' (at least when that claim is taken at face value) because this forum is not the 'UK Politics Forum' and text forums are not a good medium for this kind of discussion. Let's leave it at that.

Oh now how did I manage to miss this thread until now!
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"

                    Alex,

Life has been colourful, ups and downs, but thanks for asking!

Trying to show my "face" here a bit more without getting in any trouble, LOL.
