Not sure about you mates.. but i've got something that was created by much craftier Cuban hands:

            4.jpg
Not bad... Glossy coating and all.... Seems normal.

            3.jpg
That's strange... Normally the band is mostly over the side of the box... Right? Not over the top like this one is now?

            1.jpg
There's a date stamp.. But what happened to the factory stamp!?

            2.jpg
How much were you offering again? $800? Ah geez :\

Anyways... They seem to be getting MUCH craftier at this. (wonder if there's a whole set of cigar elves that works for this one Jolly Santa who only makes fake cigars to flood into Canada....). Remember back in the day when fakies were as easy to spot as the first post?
If this continues... Some fakies might be unrecognisable to the point that only the code can really help. Shame that really, really is.

Bonus with the seal being off: at least you get to put it on in the right position

All the Toronto Grey market ones are EXACTLY like this. Except you'll have people swearing on their father's son's grandfather's daughter (who works in the factory) that they're authentic.

I wrote to tell him they're fake. Here's his reply:

' No, they are not fake. I bought them in Cuba myself and they told that it was better If I did not stick the seals before I had passed the Cuban Authorities, because they may open the boxes and then it would tear the seals. And the authorities indeed opened the box. The important is to have the seals, it does not matter if they are stuck in the box or not. In fact, people that sells fake to stick fake seals on the box, that is not at all a problem for them. If you want we could meet and you could have a look at them yourself. I also have a Romeo and Juliet box.'

Here's a question for all the folks out there in UKCF land. If someone goes to all the trouble to get the boxes, sticks, bands and seals, why stop short of putting the seals on the box? That's Crazy!

It just don't make no sense to me, you understand.

I've had the answer thrust on me before.. Twice.
They think it helps authenticate the story of the "connexion in the cigar factory."
Ya know, the whole: I took a box THEN took stickers and here's my proof.. Kinda thing.

Now. There are MANY boxes with the fake stickers on them as well. But they don't have such an elaborate back story.
