  • Budget Cubans

Still being new to cigars and not having a huge amount to spend, I've treated myself to 5 budget cigars and a Bolivar 2

Any opinions on the Chinchalero Sportivo, Chinchalero Novillo ? Fuerte Maduro, Quorum short petite, bandolero specially selected 50 and Guantanamera minuto?

Not having smoked any of them the best advice you can hope for is the order in which to smoke them culminating in the Bolivar and starting with the weakest which I suspect will be the Guano

Smoke less smoke better. I would personally give all those a miss, I have had loads of cheaps smokes over the years I had wished I had not bought some JLP or quinteros picked up by someone you know going to spain will cost you a lot less and taste 1000 times better, but I suppose at least its not inka blends I think those a rolled with half smoked cigars out the ashtray

that's been my motto for the past few months. only time i've smoked a D4 or MC2 have been from bombs... i just can't handle their inconsistency. Man the last MC2 i had in Feb was soooo fckn shite.

anyways, i smoke only 1-3 times a week in the summer and winter makes it 2-8 times a month. how else do you think i can build up the budget for all the regionals and aged sticks?? However, if you're ageing sticks, it can never hurt to pack away 2-3 boxes of ERdM Demi Tasse or LGC 4s in the bottom of your humidor to forget about. 50-100 quid for an investement to your future self is very worth it.

Mind you, the regalis and majestics are little sticks taht you can always toss to your mates without feeling badly about it. i also don't feel badly about smoking them half way!

A few of those are not Cuban, but that's no bad thing. The Chinchalero and Quarums are alright. The Guantanamera Will likely be the weakest. I have to admit though that I'm coming round to rascals way of thinking.

I agree but we all have to start somewhere and he probably bought without the benefit of good advice but where there's Bolivar there's hope

ehh you talking to yourself here! Neither of your smokes are in range the guy is asking and LGC are not even sold in the UK. If you are talking to me I have had craps that have lasted longer than you have been smoking so I think you advice can go the same place as the crap. I have plenty of boxes ageing and plenty already aged and none have come from craiglist either.

Majestics and Regalis and Demi Tasse aren't in the same amount, there? the Chinchalero Sportivos seem to border their prices... unless i'm looking at the 'craps' again Even when they're not coming from Craigslist or Gumtree, it works out somewhat similar in the end, no?

Also did not know about the LGC situation...

dont understand your first point (serious cant make out what you are saying) The chinchalero sportivos are 2.69

                      .
ERDM demi tasse 4.39 so a bit more and a lot smaller.

Lot of brands not sold in the UK QDO is a recent brand to the UK and only sell the corona

The new Quintero Favoritos are getting good things said about them and don't cost an arm and a leg, and so are the Rafael Gonzalez Perlas.
If you want to, you can.

The Chinchalero's and the Quorums aren't too bad, had a couple of each and quite enjoyed them, however that was before I had tried more of the Cubans

The Favoritos is a great smoke for sure. Loads of flavour.... I'm keeping them in rotation
