    Bolivar Tubos No 1.

UK price ?12.85. The cigar is half an inch longer than the Tubos No 2, UK price ?10.59. And the Bolivar Tubos No 2 is exactly the same size as the Boli PC, UK price ?9.59 .... so, assume a tube costs ?1.00.

Who's smoked a Bolivar Tubos No 1 (Looking at you Simon), did you enjoy it, and would you consider the purchase good value for money.

I've never smoked a Bolivar Tubos No 1 .... the Boli Tubos No 2 and PC I have .... and consider both to be excellent.

Here's looking at you Arf! Yes I have had the No1 but not many. When you look at the prices, Coronas are always quite a bit more for that extra half an inch & as for tubos, they are all similar in being more expensive for the sake of the tube. If you are not keeping them for a long time, I don't see the point of buying tubed once you have a wee collection of old tubes you can use to carry single smokes around in. The Siglo VI tubed is a couple of quid extra I think but obviously a nicer tube all together. The Monte tubos is just the No4 in a tube. However some will swear they can taste a difference & if you have a penchant for smoking at least on one from every vitola give it a try. If you enjoyed the No2, you should enjoy the No1. Similar to the difference between the R&J No2 & No1 ie not much.

The main reason they get brought I would say is that they are easily available & you can just buy a single or two. Boli Coronas hard to find these days so this would be your best bet. Let us know what you thought of it, if you give it a go.

From what you're saying it does sound like a single is in order, if only to find out if the blend is any different to the No 2 and the PC. The PC is a great cigar. The No 2 likewise but more intense.

The Monte 4 and Monte Petit Tubos I believe are the same blend, but again after a few years cooking away inside a tube (which I don't open) the flavours do intensify.

The Monte Tubos on the other hand is a complete law unto itself, there is no un-tubed equivalent size, and IMO it's a superb cigar.

Boli Coronas are pretty much impossible to find these days having gone the way of many a good coronas, so as you say the Boli No 1 will be as near as it gets.
