  • Is there a subtle difference?

When dealing with the Cohiba Siglo VI, is there any subtle difference in using a cigar cutter, or a cigar punch? Just curious.

Depends on the size of your gob I suppose!
Some people say that punching encourages tar to accumulate around the hole but I've never experienced it. If the draw is poor than a cut would probably be better.

I'd start with a single large punch or a double punch with a medium. If the draw isn't easy enough then cut it but VI aren't know for tight draws so shouldn't be a problem. Let us know how you get on.
