Cuban cigars

Plus the Cubans are already looking at expanding into China, there was a news item earlier in the year about them growing tobacco in China from Cuban seed.

I would say that if there was a sudden rise in demand the quality would go down or the price increase.
firstly to grow more tobacco the use of chemical fertiliser and pesticides would increase, farming methods would have to change. This would change the quality of the leaf.
The other way they could go is to increase the price of the cigars and produce the same amount making cuban cigars a much more exclusive product.
stock up now before there all gone !!

The Americans that want Cuban's get Cuban's.
A few would try them initially but they will only get a share of what the world gets.
The average American pallette is more suited to NC's anyway.

Cuban cigars
Would like your opinions on this matter i know i'll get different opinions but thats fine at the end of the day we can't all think the same.
We all joined this cigar forum for the love of cigars wether cuban or non cuban reading about them talking and of course the pleasure we get smoking them.
My question to you aficionado's is if and when the embargo on cuban cigars is lifted would the quality of cuban cigars go down hill
such as the construction non being the same plugged cigars etc for the very high demand in them for such a big state compared to us over here.
The other thing is if and when it happened can you imagine which way the production of non cuban cigars would go probably
the producers would go bust because everyone would go mad in buying cuban cigars after all these years having this embargo over them
probably even the non smokers would buy some just to see what the hype is about concerning cuban cigars.
I personaly think cuba woulden't be able to cope with the production of cuban cigars they would have to get more land to start with and grow
a lot more tobacco then deppending on the harvest they would have to roll cigars 24 hours a day 7 days a week
which makes me think producing such a vast amount of cigars to supply the u.s. the quality of the cigars would probably not be the same
to what we are used to what are your opinion's on what i've said.Tags: None
