          Good researchin' Wolfie!!

Take a picture of the cigars' feet, Martyn. I'll compare it to each one of the above in my humidor.
(don't think I have the Royal Selection 11. I might - need to check)

Further to Wolfie's list Mag 46, Black Prince, Punch Punch, Punch Selection No1, RG CX & SLR Series A. Used to be a popular size, no mostly deleted. Best chance is to smoke one mate & have a guess, then give one to Series Steve at the herf, if there's man who can blind taste it's Steve

Punch Super Selection No. 1 is a Corona Grandes (Siglo III size) You're thinking of the SS No. 2.

If i recall, the black prince, Mag 46, RG CX have always banded

I humbly accept all your correction Jezz except Mag 46 unbanded until 2005, so could be a contender then.

Weird... I have paper 3-boxes from Spain of 04 Magnum 46s. All with bands.

I guess only the SLB have un-banded ones, then... Not to self: Find pre-05 SLB of Magnum 46s.

A lot of cab's stayed naked longer than packs & boxes.

Another thing worth thinking about is the fact that you have more than one box of naked cigars all in the wrong box. Could they be custom rolled? That would explain why they needed a diner box.
                        Just a thought.

If they came like that with no bands and no packaging, you can work out the vitola from the dimensions but you'll never guess the brand.
You could guess but it's impossible to be certain.
                              They look very nice though.
