Oh dear, the veil has been lifted from your eyes & now having had this experience smoking cigars less than 3-5yo, will never be the same again. You have 3 options, first try to forget this ever happened, a figment of your imagination, too much excitement in the air. Secondly be prepared to pay alot for an occasional treat by buying a single or two from the more reputable dealers for birthdays/ Christmases ect. Thirdly buy some coolidors & start laying down a few boxes to age yourself. In theory, this should be the cheapest & most pleasurable root. In practice, it may be fun but it's anything but cheap & how many boxes do you need? How many of your fav's should you try to age? Who much money do you want/ can afford - to tie up in your hobby? Good luck & welcome to the Dark side of Havana's

I remember the first aged Cuban I tried and the difference really surprised me as well.

Aged cigars
Was at a BBQ so tools a few sticks to or to the flame. A Monte 4, Epi 2, Party Short and HdM Petit Robusto.
A friend pulled out a Monte 2 towards the end from his supply, he estimated that they were ~7 years old. Lovely looking wrapper and he'd looked after them well.
The difference in taste between this stick and what I'd had earlier in the day was remarkable. The Monte 2 had no harshness to it at all, very smooth, it was very flavourful and they were much easier to discern. Very impressed, up to now didn't appreciate that ageing can do to CCs.Tags: None
