Not wanting to hijack this thread already but I'd also want to know how you know how old your cigars are when you buy them. Just seems to me that it's hard to say "young" when I've no idea of the age of anything in my humidor

Cubans that are good when smoked young?
It seems there?s a general consensus that CCs don?t smoke particularly well when young, but are there any exceptions?
Let?s say ?young? is anything up to 6 months old and that inclusion doesn?t mean that said stick won?t further improve with age, just that it doesn?t need age to smoke well.
Sub-question: does anybody know of any Cuban manufacturers that put considerable age on their sticks before sending to shops? (similar to Padron in the NC world who I believe age their premium stuff for 1-2 years in their factories before sending out (hence the higher prices)).Tags: None
