Really depend what's it for....if it's for celebration of some sort then I would say it is... even though I've not smoked one...however I have two in the humi.im keeping for a special occasion.
Personally tom, around ?25. However I didn't buy mine in the UK & they used to be about that in Cuba but there has been a shortage of them lately which has probably added a little rarity value to the price. As always with cigars it's personal taste & how much you're prepared to pay for an hours or mores pleasure? I have a few from 2011 & '13 & there are a nice birthday smoke but so are many others easier on the wallet, like an aged Lanceros or Siglo VI. I always thought it was outrageous to spend a ?100 on a bottle of wine (rather than spirits) or a cigar. I don't think I have spent more than ?70 on a bottle of wine, ?120 on a bottle of Armagnac from 1959, my birth year - for my 40th BD & I think $50 was probably the limit on a cigar until I bought this set of 3 Davidoffs.
They were E270 at auction so just under the 100 each but if you average the cost & divide by the inch, the longest would be over the ton. Worth it? Probably not but I bought them to celebrate our 25th next month & with so many special cigars in the Boli Cave, I wanted something totally different. I'll have one on the day, one on our celebratory cruise to Havana next January & one in the bar of the Hotel Nacional. Let us know if you go for it & whether you think if was value for money.
One of those would be deffo to try - after all no point keeping stuff I have no idea about, hence I tend to buy 2 or 3 of each. As to the rest - very special ocassions only. Not that I have any in mind now, maybe would have one when I finally get my pilot's licence...
Was wondering cause mysmokingshop has them much cheaper per stick, but they have them very ocasionally. And must admit, I am on some kind of buying frenzy, as I am getting new sticks few times per week now.... Not something very special, but added Boli, RyJ, H. Upmann etc, on top of that sticks for daily use etc...
Now will have no time to go again for shopping this week, but will see if they have them next Monday
Personally I struggle paying upwards of ?20 for a cigar TBH, not that I necessarily wouldn't but it would have to be something special for me to justify it. Rather than buy EMS I would look into buying overseas when you get the chance for cigars like this
Saying, I have smoked one BHK in Germany and it was a good smoke (but not worth ?35)
They're my fave but I won't be paying that sort of money for them. I'd agree around ?25 tops each. There's a shortage at the moment hence the stupid prices. I've found these smoke well young (a year give or take). I'd only pay that if I'd never tried one and was anxious to try one.

Same thing about the 54 & 56; they are something you might 'have' to try once, I did but personally I wouldn't buy any more. I do however hope to pick up a box of 52's in Cuba & they will have to last a long time.

So you all are not absolute nutters who will buy everything then . Glad I asked on here first, Mrs would skin me alive IF she found out .
Guess I won't bother then, will look for something else. Also few friends will be going to quite different places in the world, so they might bring some interesting sticks too. Thank all for input, you're awesome bunch!
