  • Cuban Cigars looking for home

    Hey

My Dad, who was a cigar smoker, recently passed away (not related to smoking!!!). He left behind some Cuban Cigars he had bought on vacation there and I am looking to give them a home. I don't want to just throw them away. It would be a bit of a crime to do so especially after researching the value of them!! I would sell on ebay or Shpock but obviously that's not allowed so it seems coming here and trying to find a true fan is the right thing to do.

Its not a huge amount but what I have is - four remaining Monte Cristo number 3s with box, two short Romeo y Julietta Churchills in their tins. One Cohiba in box, And one Cohiba Especiales unboxed. From looking at values online I think there is about ?100 of Cigars here. Is anybody interested? Serious offers considered. I want them to go to a good home where they will be enjoyed. I can post them. They are located in Leeds, UK. Can send pictures if wanted

    Thanks

Why do I get the impression this guy will soon be dancing out the door?

Haha! Perhaps because it's his first and only post....I don't know.

I say let it play for a bit then bring down the hammer!

                  Hi

Sorry for slow reply on this. Life pretty disrupted at the moment as you might imagine in the light of things. Lots of things to deal with. First thing don't all be so sceptical. Of course this is going to be my first and only post. I am not a cigar smoker and once I have found a good home for the cigars. I will clearly never post again. You don't have to be Columbo to have worked that out. But equally I don't like seeing a good thing going to waste. Mum and I currently going through all of my Dad's possession deciding what we want to keep and what we don't. What really means things to us and what doesn't. So for example we have kept one part smoked cigar by him. But with regard to the cigars... Yes pictures would have been a good idea. I can ensure they are the real deal Mum and Dad bought them in Cuba themselves on a factory tour and in official Cigar store. I can ensure you my Mum and Dad are not the type of people to try and get fakes through Havana Airport. Ok so I will get some pictures up below. What I can genuinely say is I have no idea the condition of them. The Big Corona Especialles one you will notice has flaked a bit at the top. I don't know if Cigars go stale. I assume they are a bit like Wine as long as stored in cool dry place and not in extremes of heat they don't. But similarly I suspect their flavour does change with time. But look at the pics and get in touch if you are interested.IMAG0866.jpgIMAG0867.jpgIMAG0868.jpgIMAG0869.jpgIMAG0870.jpg

Umm, how the heck would one get in touch with you since it is a banning offense to post email adresses and you do not have PM privileges?

                    It's a quandary!

Sorry to say, but these guys are playing around. It's against the rules to sell on here until you have been authorised by the site admin. Sorry

I hope all your preporations go well and you find some things that make you smile and think of your Dad as you go through his stuff.

I would buy them from you unfortunately there is no way to contact you. Obviously these haven't been stored in a humidor so will not be at their best, and you are not going to get UK shop prices for them. If you find a way to contact me I will have them.
