My comment was aimed more to the guy who has just come back with an arm full of fakes and tried to offload them on the first cigar group he could find.
I feel for your friends family. The were doing it out of generosity for a gift.

Of course it was...Plenty of these scammers about keep trying to sell in these fake any where possible.

Why does that bother you if you pay less than they're available in the UK for? Businesses make a huge profit, a guy going on holiday makes pocket change? Fakes aside of course!

Fair enough, I may have taken the comments out of context but I suspect that if the guy new he was selling fakes the last thing he would try to off load them on a cigar group....then again thats probably me uncharacteristically giving the benefit of the doubt!

The guy replied and sent a pic of the bar code, format, number and print style.... all wrong. A close up of the ring wrapper shows I could do better with a wax crayon. He has been outed on the group for selling fakes.
