Ours sons Godparents went to Cuba on a trip last year, as they don't smoke I asked if they'd bring me some cigars back. They of course knew nothing whatsoever, so I gave them a list in order of preference and against each box gave them a picture of the cigars and the box itself. It helped them massively and they were able to quickly pick up most of my preferred boxes, without too much of an impact on their own holiday.

Best not to set your heart on anything specific, just tour the LCDH's & see what they have that takes your fancy & don't expect to find anything older than 2015. Good hunting & have a grand time, try out the new Cohiba Atmosphere near the Capitol Building.Simon Bolivar: Liberator of Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru & Venezuela.

Fat and Fresh!
So, in addition to long and thin, you also like 'em big and fat, eh compadre? (Me Too!)Originally posted by gojira View PostBolivar Coronas Gigantes.
Without doubt, chico! One of the finest experiences in the life of a cigar lover is to sample a newly made puro right off the torcedores' table...paired with a freshly made mojito, of course. You'll find youself exclaiming to your mates, "does it get any be than this!" or something like that.Originally posted by Shaun View PostGoing to cuba, I woukd pick up some custom rolls. You can buy everything else easily anytime you want.
One word of warning - Unless you plan to lay 'em down for a period of time, try to enjoy your custom puros within a week, but no more than two; otherwise, they start to develope a dissagreable taste due to the so-called cigar sick period.* Once this begins, they need at least a year before they are smokable.

*Some aficionados say freshly rolled puros can be enjoyed for several weeks/months after rolling before they get "sick." This has not been my experience, however. I find that two weeks (max.) tends to be the tipping point for putting 'em in hibernation.sigpicVaya con Dios, Amigos! -

Cuba is certainly a place I am keen to visit.

Going back to the original title of this thread, it's tricky to pick just 5, but here goes (in no particular order)-
1. Punch Double Corona
2. Ramon Allones Specially Selected
3. H. Upmann Magnum 46
4. Bolivar Coronas Gigantes
5. Montecristo No.2
All consistently brilliant. There's a few i've tried that would easily make my list but i've omitted them as only tried once- Cohiba Siglo VI, Cohiba Lancero, Cohiba Robusto Supremos, Trinidad Topes, Trinidad Fundadores, San Cristobal Torreon, Partagas Serie Du Connoisseur no.1.
