Fakes are everywhere. Sometimes the retailer doesn't even know they have fakes. Only buy for LCDH when in Cuba. Never and I mean never, buy Cubans when in Florida, US

Generally the bands can be a good sign, but you can never let that alone determine if they're genuine or fake. Some genuine bands can be a tad off too, but it's also a good sign of a poor fake. Only way to tell is in their smokin'.

This is very true. Some fakes have genuine bands put on them too.

On the plus side, they are in correct 'shade' order.

The problem is, it can sometimes be so difficult to tell the difference, even in person. As a couple of guys have said, the only way to really know is to smoke them.

Hi Islita - welcome to the forum

I'm reserving judgement on whether they're fake or not

How much did you pay and where?

Here's how a genuine band should look:

Notice that there's three white dots above the word Cohiba. Yours don't always have the 3 dots...some have 2 dots or 2.5. But, Cuban quality control being what it is, the bands shouldn't be the only thing to take into consideration. Your pics look like the gold leaf is simply misaligned...I had a few Magnum 50 LEs from an umimpeachable source and some of them had mis-aligned labels but they smoked perfectly. Light one up...if it tastes great then you should be a happy chappy

If you have been had, console yourself with the knowledge that you're not the 1st and you won't be the last....

                      Regards, Steve

PS> If you're a cigar aficionado too, pop over to Newbie Greets and introduce yourself (much less of the Cohiba induced sarcasm over there... here it was kind of to be expected ).

Mainly my fault, I had suspected a one post wonder. I usually go softer on them after their second post.
