Been stocking up on these (has a couple, and they are, indeed sublime!)

In fact, I'm loving Montes more and more these days.....

I've got quite a few 2007 Monte D LE's left (fantastic), and have recently been getting some of the C's (2003) - haven't smoked any of these yet though; anybody had these?

Yet to get any of the 2006 robustos....
"By the cigars they smoke, and the composers they love, ye shall know the texture of men's souls." John Galsworthy
"A good Cuban cigar closes the door to the vulgarities of the world." Franz Liszt
"The most futile and disastrous day seems well spent when it is reviewed through the blue, fragrant smoke of a Havana Cigar." Evelyn Waugh
"Remember, commander, no cigars before launch." a Cuban doctor's orders to an astronaut at Cape Canaveral

Robustos good, C's great. Smoke'em if you got 'em.

As for Sublimes.....jury is still out. Looking forward to next year's Bolivar Sublimes...

          each to their own

Lots of good things have been said, you're right Stevieboy, but the last one of these I smoked was at the end of 4 cigar herf with a HdM Petit Robusto, RyJ Price of Wales and Petit Piramide preceeding it. It just didn't hold its own against the two RyJ's. I'll dig one out and try again, I'll look for the strength and depth that has been commented on.

There is lots of praise and agreement about cigars on here. You dont often see someone say a cuban cigar was disappointing or rubbish. It can take a fair amount of time, months in my case, for a palate to tune in to the tastes and flavours of cigar smoking and it keeps developing with experience. I hope members who are new-ish to cuban cigars dont feel they have to agree or sing a cigars praises, not all cigars are what we hope they will be and sticks vary from box to box and even within a box. The nature of a hand-made product dictates that there will be a lot of variation, gotta take the rough with the smooth.

I like to hear both sides and make up my own mind.

Thats me finished fighting for my corner. Now off to dig out a sublime for later
