thats for certain. Nothing different to a good CdP wine. Most are really tasty after bottling, but most are more than delicious with 15 years on them.

It all depends on your taste...some people prefer younger Cubans some like aged ones....I found recently the QdO 50 and 54 great young.
Some people say the Connie A is great young...but for me they needed some age....my advice is buy a few of each cigar and taste them as you go along.

End of the day they're a rolled up bunch of leaves, they're a natural product, you might grab a box of HDM PR's that smoke great ROTT you might crack the next and see they need 3yrs down before you can even approach them.

I know things like this can be frustrating to someone new to the game but it's all part of it, just got to give it time mate, you'll suss it all out and having a sizeable collection always helps.

And it doesn't take long for the collection to grow.

There is nothing which is utterly unsmokable straight out of the hutch, BUT the stronger blends tend to benefit from a little time to mature. That said the lighter blends also can mature and develop, but their changes are typically more subtle. I've found the below to be relatively reliable 'young'...

These are all variously somewhere around the 10-15 mark at UK retail prices. This price point opens up a lot when you are into overseas prices, box splits, trades etc...

BUT it's fair to say that all will benefit from a little down time... a good example would be the HUHC ... a few years ago I tried one straight out of a newish box and disliked it. Had another a month later once it had stabilised in my humidor, enjoyed it. Following a bit of a 6 month down time they were utterly different (to me) ... and delicious. They continue to pay off long term.

if you aren't into box buying, it makes sense to buy 3/5 of something once you know that you like the blend/brand/marqua/ vitola as this should give you a decent time span within which you can explore the flavour profile and how time brings on changes.

I don?t think there?s a universal answer to this. Not by a long shot.
It all depends on taste. And what you can handle and which ?new tobacco? off taste you are willing to live with.
All Tobacco mellows out over time and i.e. ammonia wears off.

A lot of NC?s are SAID to be rolled from longer aged tobacco as opposed to Cuban reg. production. I am not blindly believing that.

An example: a Padron 1964 series is a REALLY strong cigar, as I find most Padrons. I like them as they are. But they?re a MILE away from Cubans. A lot of smokers can?t handle a Padron though. The last third is also full of ammonia and bitterness, which I am currently waiting to see if wears off after my Padron stock gets a bit older.

they say NC are good to go straight from the go.
I would like to find out if any other than aged CC are any good to straight of the bat

I'm looking at a 40 min smoke Ring size about 42 plus and 4-5 inch and around ?10.00 each give or take
