I have a friend visiting Budapest at the weekend - i have asked her to grab me some REs whilst she is over there - does anybody know what they would be so i can tell her to ask for them? Does Hungary come under Asia Pacific, also - can anybody recommend a cigar shop on the east side of the river?
cant give you details but there is defo a cigar shop in the centre of town, I was there a few years back, from what I remember it was up some kind of tower?
The tower in budapest is a cool shop. It has a good stock and good staff, cigar prices in Budapest are dictated by the state so you won't get any bargains wherever you go. Its kind of attached to the kempinski hotel. Its worth your pal going to see just for the strangeness of the little funky building.
I was staying in another (not quite as glamorous) hotel on the other side of the square and popped in in between landing and sound check, but I didn't buy anything as the prices aren't great. They aren't great at duty free either so I would get your pall to literally get the specifics and nothing you can get here.
Hungary is in the European Region and the distributor is Tabak Invest, who distribute to Hungary and the Czech and Slovak Republics. They have not yet had a regional edition and none are planned for 2010.
Jimmeh.....Many dealers in one region often sell regionals from other areas.
