Steve. I asked for a verdict on a stick of a years age, I was not "mooching". A second opinion from somebody who also has a one year old stick seemed a wise move following a previous posters constructive comment. Just trying to find an opinion on a cigar, part of the purpose of this site.
If somebody wants to sell a similarly aged stick that would be another option but I am more interested in opinion as I have nothing older or newer to compare it with.
Or does this sound like I am mooching for three sticks?

"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"

I am similar to yourself in that the only two Bolivars I really like are the RC and the BF.

Lascaux, where did you get one from on a Sunday? I so so want some of these. A box of 25 is little more than a box of ten Dukes, gggrrr.....

I take that back, the BBF are no longer on special, missed the boat, BUM!

They've never convinced me. Usually overwhelming and unpleasantly bitter when young, which makes it difficult to gauge how they might settle down in years time.
Straight out the BRC is a delight*, and the corona gauge cigars are heady when young and earthy but refined with age. There's no need to take the risk with the BF in my opinion.
* has anybody had a cuban robusto in the last few years that wasn't surprisingly good when very young? Do they blend them like this intentionally? Is this why Robustos are so popular? Do you find they all taste pretty similar? Is this a topic for another thread?

I found a cab of BBF from Dec 2005 during my recent Cuba jaunt and could not resist.
Dark wrappers.
Great pre-light aromas.
Perfect draw and burn.
Rich, complex flavours and because they are 4 years old, they are quite nub-able.
