look after them. I'm a big fan of Cuaba and CoH have a really good price on Diademas which I just might go for. But how do you keep the gars humidified as the come in a box of five coffin boxes and each gar is foil wrapped?
Oh .... and has anyone tried one?
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!
Stick the whole box in your humidor and the hidity will go through the box and the foil as they are not completely sealed. If you have a desktop, take the cigars out ofthe coffins and stick them in, the foil is not airtight so there's nothing to worry about. As for how they taste, I haven't actually tried this vitola,
but in general I think the cuabas are decent with a few years of age on them but they taste awfully young until then.
If you were looking at long term storage, then I'd take them out of the coffins, cedar can do funny things with the oils. Over a couple of years though they'll be fine.
They're an exceptional and singular smoke; mild, nutty and vegetal, with amazing complexity. Nothing like the smaller Cuabas, and only passingly similar to the Salomones
Thanks Cesara, I have a Salomones and that fits into my humidor .... at 9.5inches the Dia's will be a bit to big. If I'm gonna fit them anywhere it's in their box an' coffins in a 'new' tupp .... I'm jam-packed in my present one.
