Real or Fake Cohiba Esplendidos - Advice

Hi,

I started collecting cigars a year or so ago so i would describe myself as a novice. I have been offered these Cohiba Esplendidos (25) and i'm looking for some advice on whether other users think there is any obvious reasons in the pictures to think they are fake. The guy wants a fair amount for them so they are not stupidly cheap but i'm always dubious buying from a non-reputable retailer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's never a good start when the seal is not applied to a box but loose with it...?

I can't be sure about that specific box but I have seen fake Cohibas before with the warranty seal inside the box, just like that one.
Esplendidos are widely faked, probably one of the most popular fakes.
If it was me, I'd pass.

I'd pass based on the labels not being affixed too, major sign of fakeage. The shots of the cigars are too blurred and far away to know for sure.

We're all forgetting the most important thing - provenance.

Unless the guy selling them swears that his uncle met someone on holiday in Cuba who's best mate's godmother works in the Laguito factory - then forget it, they'll most likely be fake.

I think I know the guys who made them.
At least that was where they put their badly copied tax seals.
