I'm considering going after a box of these. I know, I really should try a single first. But has anyone got a really good opinion on these to help me make my mind up?

I liked the 2003 one I had from cj121. I'm considering a box at some point in my future...

I think age is important with these. Finding a 2003 or there-abouts box may be a bit of a problem I'm guessing.

Bought these and Patricias last year in Havana and they were both wonderful smokes, although both boxes had a few years on them

Which is what I'm reading, and I think is going to be the problem.

I was gifted one of these by PeanutPete. It was a very good smoke!

I'm part way through a box of 08 (6 smoked) and they are good, although probably will still get better taste similar to the larger JL's, perhaps not quite as complex and a little more earthy, certainly smokable young, Whisk has a box too, if you search them on the forum, I think his comments where in the new in the post today thread (the old one that was revised) his comments where positive too, if I remember!......

                JL PC

These are one of the best PC on the market IMO. I have been lucky enough to try most of the different brands of this particular vitola, and the JL is very difficult to fault. These are normally my smoke in the morning and i have honestly never smoked a bad one, young or aged.

Yes tipp, I was fortunate enough to have my father passing through Dubai and he picked them up for me: not the LCDH, but from the other end of Terminal 3. Bless him, he said "I wasn't sure, and thought they might be out of date"

And yes, they're a fine smoke as others comment. I'm sure something more recent in terms of age, would be equally as enjoyable. Go for it.

                  PMd you tipp.

A great(imo) and often overlooked cigar.
I believe there are still 2001s to be had which are extremely nice cigars.
