Is it pronounced chwah or choy?

Anyway it doesn't matter. I had my first one last night and I wanted to comment on it and see what other members thought of it.

I got a box yesterday in the mail and I was disappointed when I opened it. The Choix Supremes are not beautiful cigars by any stretch of the imagination. They look brittle even though they felt firm and spongy as well-humidified cigars should feel. They also had almost no odor to them. I didn't like that.

But the experience was very pleasant once I lit the cigar. It had a perfect draw and burned evenly the whole way through. The flavor was a bit mild but pleasant nonetheless. I enjoyed my first Choix Supreme very much. What experiences have the rest of you had?

They certainly are not going to win any beauty contests, but are a pleasant smoke nonetheless. My experiences with them have been similar to yours. I prefer full-bodied gars, but these make for a nice change of pace.

I've had a handful Larry and in terms of the milder side of life, I persoanlly think the SHWAH Supreme is fine smoke

              Shwa (short a) IMO.
I've had a couple of enjoyable sticks of these, but my box is pretty recent so they need leaving alone for quite some time. I don't find many cigars attractive so I'm probably not the best judge.

Just out of curiosity, how do you expect them to change with more age? Typically strong, full-flavored cigars become more smooth and palatable with age, but this is a cigar that has mild flavor to begin with. Not sure how my stash will change as I let them sit.

Just more refinement and a milder base from which to pick out a greater variety of taste! mild smokes age damn well, upmann winstons the great example

Some mild cigars seem stronger with age, as the blend set, the flavors mingle more harmoniously, the taste becomes fuller?
This is often the case with ERDMs, Upmann, Sancho Panza?

Thank you for clearing that up smallclub and lascaux. I never knew that about mild smokes. That gives me more reason to let them sit for a while longer. I want a little more out of these cigars and now I have high hopes of how they will burn in a year or two.

                          Re: Choix Supremes

Mine have a bit of a youthful bite to them which somewhat hides the flavours. It's a MAY 09 box though which explains that!

i bought a single stick, not yet smoked it, its price is attractive comparing to D4 and the likes. i agree, they certainly don't look any good, again compared to the D4s. the colour seems to be on the light side and a looks a bit 'green' to me when put next to other cigars
