  • Raphael Gonzales Perlas Production Date Question

Can anyone please help me? Have just received a 5x5 box of RGP box code: BUA NOV 11. My understanding is that they were released more recently than this, I've found different dates listed on line but none this early. Does anyone happen to know definitively? Many thanks

I usually use this place as a guide https://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/br...onzalez#perlas

But plenty of references on line to a late 2011 release

    So close enough I guess.

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

Thank you, I don't know how I missed that CA reference! Anyone know how these are doing at this age? I'm excited to try one

Sounds like you got a really good find there Adam. I think they are a nice little cigar. Should be good to go.

Agree with Banos' assessment that Cuban cigar website is fantastic reference for any related queries.

Makes a nice change as I rarely seem to get old boxes when buying blind. I had checked that website but was confused by it being listed as a 2012 release. As Banos says, Nov 11 is near enough

These have been disappointing, for anyone who's interested. They still have a bit of bite/kick but the flavour has dropped off completely. I've had three and they've been very boring.

Don't worry it's not you, that's how I feel about them too, even though I am a fan of the marca. I suggest you try other vitola's like the Belicosis & PC., much better IMHO.

Have a couple of boxes from 2012. Excellent cigar, best bang for the money.

I had a couple of singles from 2012 & they were very under filled, put me off, tried a couple since, they are ok but for a value for money smoke the Panatela Extra beats it hands down for me.

Are the Panatela Extras, short or long fillers?

I have some PCs, will definitely get some PEs as they have been recommended elsewhere on the forum

I had high hopes but that's cigars for you, Cubans at least!

                              Short filler, hand rolled.
