This is great Simon, amazing list of cigars. I didn’t think it possible but I’m pretty sure you’ve completed cigar smoking

This is very impressive but I can’t say I’m surprised at the level of detail after you showed me your spreadsheet of exact stock 😂.

The removal company we hired adviced me to take them in my car and just drive through. In his words: "they are not checking private vehicles". Given the post Brexit chaos, I think it is unlikely they'll do detailed checks on private crossings. They don't have enough staff to handle commercial crossings. But, I guess your collection is a lot larger than mine, so that might not be feasible.

Still find it outrageous that we'd have to pay tax twice in the same country, for bringing it over the border. It's this injustice more than the costs that make me wonder how to avoid it.

I understand Niela but I'll be happy to get across without everything being stripped out & every package searched & distrupted. I have seen that happen to a Luton Van before at Calais. We will have many trips house hunting before the actual move so that's a 100 stix a time, hopefully I'll reduce the amount I'll end up paying for to my 4-5 drawer humi's. I have 1,000 over already & so another 1,000 is possible. If we had stuck to the original plan, moving in 2yrs would have had them all over but other more important factors pushed it fwd, i.e. my wife's health. Beside, some guys are lucky & some aren't, I know a previous member used to walk through way over the limit without blinking but my luck doesn't run like that!

Absolutely. House hunting in covid times will be tough. We spent 3 years looking for a house in Germany and it really wasn't easy, but right now it would be really tough. In the end, with such a collection it's probably better to be on the save side.

Simon I smoke roughly around 650 Cigars a year being in Southern California and having a lounge in my home I smoke 2 Cigars a night. I never smoke the same Cigar back to back. I know I will have at least one Cuban davidoff each year for my birthday. I smoke mostly aged and vintage I’ve gotten to really enjoy Cohiba Robusto so I will smoke at least three of those a week. Since Covid I have not got to go to many Herfs but here is a list of Cigars I smoked at the last herf I went to:

And 7 cigars in a day?! I'm not able to smoke 7 cigars in a day!

                          Nice mature collection for sure.

Seven is a no for me. I did five a few times and it was one too many. When I have a free day I like to smoke two or three. When I'm herfing I can do four.

At UK prices I couldn’t afford to smoke 7 a day.

Be nice to see what your lounge looks.

That's an impressive smoking line up.
