  • More fakers coming out of the woodwork - be wary

I got approached by PM by a new account on Instagram offering unbelievably discounted unicorn Cuban cigars at super discounts shipping from Switzerland to the UK.... My spider sense went nuts of course.

These Cuban cigar bros are being real nice offering us dudes such amazing deals... After I got up, once I managed to stop laughing. I called them out bluntly. They politely responded reassuring me they are 100% authentic genuine. Then I threatened to take them to reddit for check out. They said no problem. And they are happy to answer any questions I may have.

OK. This is my opinion and my observations. It is too good to be true. Please do some basic checks.

    1) Why are they not listed on Intertabak website where to buy page?
I wouldnt find them because they are a new company established this year operating out of warehouses from Sapin and Suiss. They offer 100% money back blah blah

    2) Can you send me HQ pics of your Robusto T boxes please?
    NP. We will next week.

    And they did today!!

Serial number checks out - well sort of... it identifies the correct line, http://verificacion.habanos.com/

Oh look the photos are on what looks like a kitchen worktop, not a warehouse.

It was a closed box they opened for the photos - nice.

They have even made the transit seal - see it poking out from under the authenticity seal? - super visible. https://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/pa...Warranty_Seals

Who would be happy at this point?

Wait! What!? 2019!? oof rookie error. Proof. https://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/br...dad#robustos-t

    Be diligent.

Also, no phone number on their website. Looking up the domain name I found a tech contact number that when searched, links back to other older scam and spam content.

Well at least the standard of fakes are getting better, they look good enough to smoke for sure but I won't be playing.

Must be nice having enough cigars stored away to see you out! 😁

It's incredible how authentic these fakes look, I'd love to know how/where these get made and by whom. I imagine they are all made in Cuba/another cigar producing country?

China apparently. There are some videos doing the rounds from China boxing up cohibas with the blue Spanish seal for example.

Here's some Siglo vi being packed destined for the Spanish sellers. Like those bros I expect!

Last time I was in the Dominican Republic I got talking to a tour guide about cigars and he used to take one of his trips to an apartment where fake Cubans were being produced and boxed with all the labels etc. I would imagine they were just for the tourist market. All the licensed beach vendors had boxes of Cuban cigars for sale.

But I bet the quality is nothing on these fakes! Also locally produced and sold vs. mass production for on line global sales. Whole different industry

All I am saying is that if everyone completely stopped buying and smoking cigars then the fakes would also stop because there would be nobody to buy them.
