Guantanameras

If anyone is interested in trying a Guantanamera, I have some I was gifted aging in one of my humi’s somewhere. Should be nicely aged they’ve been in there at least 8 years if not more. I have tried them, underwhelming similar to a cheap NC yardgar. FOC plus postage.

Just a thought - looking at the cigars only (ie excluding the humidor), I wonder if there would be more money to be made from splitting these into more manageable lots given how scare CCs are?

Guantanamera? Don't get me started! Introduced in 2002, when Habanos was trying to have all cigars under their production were totally handmade, except these. When you visit Cuba, these are everywhere & I feel for the recipients of those non-smokers who see these, see how cheap they are & buy them as a gift. Oh, Guantanamera? Didn't you find the cigars I asked for? Yes, but they were so much more expensive, you'll enjoy these - their still Cubans. I wonder how many have tried these & rejected the idea of smoking Cubans as they think these are typical of flav & quality.

I have seen a few posts elsewhere of some claiming to enjoy these, as well as enjoying other Cuban’s. I find it hard to believe. I have only tried a couple of shorts or minis & I don't buy them. My motto is buy less but better. I tried a Cristales & ditched it after an inch. Similar to be fair to my response to the modern Belinda, presented in plastic tubes. My general advice would be don't buy any in plastic tubes, if it's not worthy of aluminium don't bother.

Just checked Cgars Ltd website & Cristales are £10.29, Minutos £9.99, Purtios £3.69. As an alternative the wonderful ERDM DT are £8.99, a handmade cigar far better in quality & flav than the Cristales & Minutos. The Cohiba Purito is the same price of £3.69 I have tried a couple gifted to me, not really for me but at least it had a little flav.
