For a giggle I googled Cohiba Pyramides Extra... and the top two results were UK vendors.... just of £1600 a box of ten and £179 a stick respectively... my chin hit the floor. Who can point me to a mug who pays this... I'd be chiselling lumps off my mortgage!

I really enjoy cohiba. they are consistent, enjoyable and quality. But this pricing has gone to fantasy land. It's absurd.

When I look across social media, and the world at large, smoking is being closed in upon from many angles. Surely a greater democratisation of product is a wiser strategy that pushing to an ever decreasing elite scale wallet... who are notoriously fickle when it comes to fashion, because almost everything is attainable and everything is disposable, when your pockets are so deep...

Colour me baffled, astounded and horrified in equal measure.

I see UK pricing is around £550 for a single stick.

        Mugs who don't have mortgages?
        .--
I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

It's just gone from insane to madness. A bit like stevie, I've moved to a bunch of NCs, trying my best to find a few I like. Oliva is scoring well again for me.

I've also loved the EP Carillo range Dean. I've bought 6 or 7 different sizes and smoked about 20 of them in total. All exceptional!!
Favourite NC so far is the Carrillo Encore Majestic.... Easily as good as the best of Cuba (I never thought I'd hear myself say that)

There seems to be an even larger gulf between those who have money and those who don’t post Covid.

Just checked my records, I bought a cardboard pack of 2017 Piramides Extra Tubos x3 for e86 in Vigo, Spain. Still have them, if someone wants to make an outlandish offer? £425 on Cgars site but they are out of stock.

I'll give you £99.01 for them. A fairly decent profit there for you Simon.

Think I'd prefer to smoke them with you, perhaps I'll save them for my last visit to Aberdeen &we can celebrate my retirement.

Because the 'haves' have a load of cash they didn't spend during covid and they are largely shielded from inflation which really is hitting the poorest in society worse than anyone else.
