    Afternoon all,

A friend wants to get his FIL a Cuban so looking for a short list of what he could go for. A couple of things (if possible) to consider

    - Smokes pretty decent fresh
    - Maybe in a tube (to keep for a bit) although I'm sure he would have a tupperware for it & I could sort out a small boveda
    - Not too expensive (although he will be in Palma this weekend so prices should be decent)

So far I thought (not sonsidering the above)

    Montecristo

    Edmundo
    Petit Edmundo
    Wide Edmundo
    No 4
    No 2

    Romeo y Julieta

    Short Churchill
    Wide Churchill
    Belicoso

    H Upmann

    No 2
    Magnum 50
    Connoisseur A

    Hoyo de Monterrey

    Epicure No 1/2/3?
    Petit Robusto

    Partagas

    Serie D
    Serie E
    Serie?

I'm sure there are many others

    Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

Not sure about a seasoned smoker, but has had a cigar before

Any Cuban robusto should do the trick. Probably right size and strength for an occasional smoker. Not much you can do about age buying straight from a shop, just smell test for ammonia

A Monte Petit tubos would do the trick. The tubo will preserve it for a good while

Upmann is a Marca that's usually universally loved, can't really go wrong with a Nr2.
I'd probably give him a D4 as I love them and they are usually pretty consistent.

Romeo y Julieta tubos are usually pretty common in Spain, a number 3 would be a could bet.

I'd agree with anything Tubo. Doesn't have to be smoked straight away and it's already gift wrapped 🎁

Agree Monte Tubos or R&J 2 or 3, can't go wrong. Get him to try it that day, then if he enjoys it, he can pick up a pack or two of 3, whilst he's there & the price is cheaper than UK.
Best reason to get the FIL into smoking cigars, is you can offer him one every time he comes around & the wife can't complain!
